Tender Details

$10 million per annum (over 4 years) has been allocated to a pilotinitiative diverting young people leaving Out-of-Home-Care from the homelessness service system.

Young people will be supported through a suite of services including

  • Personal Advisor (based upon the U.K. model)
  • education and employment mentoring
  • transitional accommodation support and
  • subsidised head-leased accommodation.

The pilot will be rolled out in targeted locations across the 2017 calendar year using a 4 stage process and operate to June 2020. Each stage may be delivered across several locations by different providers. Each stage will inform the design of the next stage of the model and use service-user (young people’s) feedback to improve the quality of service delivery.

The tender process for stages 1 and 2 in the Hunter, Central Coast and South West Sydney have been completed. This notice relates to stages 3 and 4.

The Department of Family and Community Services is initially seeking Expressions of Interest from organisations to lead the delivery of the Premier’s youth initiative for stages 3 and 4 where services will commence to clients from August and November 2017 respectively.
