?The Government of Egypt has received a loan from the International Bankfor Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) towards the cost of Sokhna Power Plant, and it intends toapply part of the proceeds ofthis loan to payments under the contract for the construction of Sokhna 500/220/22 kV GIS S/S.

??The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders forsingle responsibility for construction and completion on full turnkey bases for Sokhna 500/220/22 kV GIS S/S (the works) ?including engineering, designing, manufacturing, factory testing, site delivery, civil works, erection, testing at site, setting to work, putting in operation, insurance till provisional acceptance, warranty, training and assistance during warranty period for Sokhna 500/220 kV GIS S/S. Thescope also includes engineering, designing, manufacturing, factory testing, site delivery, erection, putting in operation, insurance till provisional acceptance, warranty of:

? Six (6) singlephase autotransformers 250 MVA each plus one spare phase with its accessories, AVRs, On Line Early Fault Detectors and 22kV airinsulated bus duct systems to connect the 22 kV windings of Autotransformer phases in Delta outside the transformer tanks, asspecified in Bid Document - Volume 2.





International competitive Bidding will be conductedin accordance with the World Bank's Bidding procedure asindicated in the Bidding document.

The Project completion period is (16) sixteen months, Responsive Bidder will be selected on the bases of compliancewith the schedule, terms and conditions as well as the technical specifications, acceptable pastexperience including past experience of subcontractors, financial capability, adequacy of proposed manpower and constructionequipment.
